Amaka Odunze Quits Terragon, Joins Diamond Bank as Head, Brands, Advertising and Promotions

Amaka Odunze, former Group Head, Marketing Strategy and Corporate Communications, Africa, Terragon Group has joined Diamond Bank as the company’s Head of Brands, Advertising and Promotions.
She and her team will work towards achieving the strategic goals of the financial institution. She will also oversee the advertising and promotional campaigns amongst others.
For more than a decade, Odunze, a seasoned brand strategist and marketing professional has honed her strategic thinking capabilities and gained a problem-solving outlook with experience across various industries – management consulting, advertising, business education and financial services.
Odunze has earned increased leadership roles across the marketing and communications spectrum. She is passionate about unlocking the potentials of brand building and consumer psychology to generate sustainable business results.
She began her career as a Research Assistant at Lagos Business School before joining Deloitte as Business Analyst in 2007. In 2009, she joined DDB Lagos as Brand Strategist (MBA Intern) and later moved to SBCay as Business Development Consultant. In 2010, she returned to DDB Lagos as Market Intelligence/Business Development Manager.
In 2014, she moved from DDB Lagos to Diamond Bank Plc as Corporate Communications Manager (Secondment) but later returned to Lagos Business School as Head, Brands and Corporate Communications and in 2016 she joined Terragon Group as Group Head, Marketing Strategy and Corporate Communications, Africa before returning to Diamond Bank.
She has an MBA, from Lagos Business School, and a first degree in Economics. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and an Independent Council Member at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group), Texas, USA.
