The advertising industry experienced a week of inspiration, learning, networking and awards in the recently held Creativity Week in Lagos. Creativity Week is the Pre-Cannes Lions Festival programme of CHINI, official Cannes Lions Festival representative in Nigeria, where winners will officially represent the country, the West and Central Africa at the Festival.
The 5-day event which held from the 18th to 23rd of March, 2018, brought together industry professionals, subject matter experts, associates and of course, students from across West and Central Africa.
Highlights of the week included Creativity Seminars, Creative Leaders Academy and Young Professional Academy, all of which were hosted by top media and advertising professionals. One major highlight of the week was also the Pitcher Awards, created to celebrate outstanding work in the advertising industry and the people behind them and one of the major winners of the night was BrandEye Media.
BrandEye Media won two Pitcher Awards as well as the Young Lions Digital Competition, represented by two of BrandEye’s finest Digital Executives, Isioma Okafor and Lekan Ahmed, who will be moving on to represent Nigeria at the 2018 Cannes Lions Festival this June in France. This well-deserved award comes as a huge opportunity and platform for BrandEye Media to showcase their work as well as represent the country’s media and advertising industry at its best to the world.
Other awards bagged by the BrandEye Media include the Young Pitcher Competition, where Ogechi Mbatu and Bennet Akpomedaye represented the agency and will represent Nigeria at the Dubai Lynx Festival in 2019 with all expenses paid for by CHINI Productions. The agency as a team was also awarded Bronze and Silver for Use of Media in the Channels Category for work done in 2017 for Lucozade and TOTI Prima respectively.
