The members of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Lagos State Chapter have re-elected Olusegun Mcmedal as the President of the Chapter.
He was re-elected at the 2018 Leadership Lecture/AGM held at MUSON Center, Onikan, Lagos on Thursday, May 24, 2018 with the theme: “Boosting Competiveness And Inclusive Growth Through Communication.”
Other members who made the new executive include Mrs. Eniola Mayowa, a notable Public Relations Practitioner (Vice chairman), Mrs. Thelma Okoh (General Secretary), Dr Fatimah Binta Ahmadu (Assistant General Secretary), Mr. Asuquo Iquoh (Financial Secretary) and Mrs. Modinat Olowoesin Tosin (Treasurer).
Also, Mrs. Toyin Nwosu (Public Relations Executive), Mr. Samuel Adeyemi (Internal Auditor), Mrs. Comfort Nwankwo (Ex Officio), Mrs. Chinenze Amanfo (Ex officio) and Barrister Joseph Okonmah (Immediate Past Chairman) made up the new executive.
Mcmedal who was first elected in 2016, came up with different innovative events and programmes that has help members and the country at large.
The Special Guest of Honour at the 2018 Leadership Lecture and Annual General Meeting were Mrs. Olusola Momoh, the Vice chairman of channels Media Group, Mr Foluso Philips, Chairman /Chief Executive Officer of Philips Consulting Group as Guests Lecturer, Mr. Emeka Madugbuna, Chairman /Chief Executive Officer of Corporate And Financial services Porta Novelli as The Chairman of the Panel, Mr Tokunbo Modupe of TPT International as a panelist, Mr Hammeed Abubakar, the Group Director, Consumer and TMT Sector, African Practice and Dr Mrs. Nwachukwu the General Manager, External Affairs and Communications, Seplat Petroleum Development company.
Lagos State Chapter is the flagship branch of NIPR, the umbrella body of professional public relations practitioners chartered to regulate as well as direct its development and the practice.
