Winner Emerges In 4th Edition of Nominate-A-Charity Contest
Siddiqah Street Kitchen a subsidiary of Siddiqah Primo Foundation has been announced as the winner of the fourth edition of the Nominate-A-Charity competition organized by Nimbus Media Limited and held recently.
Nimbus Media launched the charity contest by opening its portal up for nominations allowing NGOs and the public to submit a Charity of their choosing. The finalists are selected based on the number of nominations and from that group of finalists, the charity with the most votes is declared the winner.
The 2018 edition of the contest began with a nomination party on Social Media on the 27th of August calling for nominations from the general public. The nomination ran through till September 8th allowing the people two full weeks of nomination period and Siddiqah Street Kitchen got the highest number of nominations. The winner was announced on the 12th of September.
In his acknowledgement, the foundation’s head of operations; Mutairu Umoru had this to say: “I am unable to find the appropriate words to properly express the immense feeling of gratitude to the many that were instrumental in bestowing upon Siddiqah Street Kitchen (an arm of the foundation).
“We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful people who support what we do. We express our appreciation with a sincere and profound thank you. To the organizers of this contest – Nimbus Media Limited, we say thank you for the opportunity and granting Siddiqah Street Kitchen the much needed media exposure in premium shopping malls within Lagos.”
