Otome Oyo has left the services of food and beverage giants, Suntory Beverage & Food Africa, Middle East & Caribbean, which he joined from Guinness Nigeria, according information on his LinkedIn page.
Otome joined the company in October last year as the Central Marketing Manager for the Lucozade brand, a position that required he looks after the marketing of the Lucozade master brand and sub brand across the Africa, Middle East & Caribbean region.
He held this position till July this year before he was elevated to the position of Head of Brands and Brand Development. In this position, he lead all brand development across the Africa, Middle East and the Caribbean region, including communication and assets development, lifecycle management, brand introduction for all markets within the AMC region. He also supported local marketing teams in development of Suntory brands in their markets.
Otome whose specialties are business, brand and marketing strategy development and implementation, marketing asset development and production, content based digital marketing, has had experience working in the telecoms, oil & gas, packaging as well as food & beverages industries across Africa with such organisations as TetraPak, Nestlé and the Coca Cola company, developing brand and marketing strategies for both internal and external consumers.
As at press time, his next destination remains unknown.
He is an Adjunct Faculty Member at Alphabet Media Academy and a Board Member of Orpheus Communications (Owners of City 105.1FM). He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious University of Ibadan, as well as an MBA in Marketing, Business Strategy & Innovation from the Imperial College, London.
