MaxxConnection Deploys Expertise For Trophy’s 5 A Side Competition

Maxxconnection which coordinated the competition in three states developed a powerful communication strategy to promote the event to connect with the identified target audience.

The Managing Director of MaxxConnection, Owolabi Mustapha said his agency executed the competition to the delight of the client, adding that the competition is the first of its kind in Nigeria with the pilot edition which had four states participating. He also stated that MaxXConnection ensured the success of the competition end to end as the agency infused top notch entertainment at the finals at Campos Mini stadium in Lagos to further build Equity for the Trophy Honourable beer brand.

In her reaction, Marketing Director of International Breweries, brewers of Trophy lager beer, Mrs Tolu Adedeji, said the 5 A side competition is the biggest in Africa and its main goal is to promote grassroots football in the country. She asserted that it has become imperative for brands to develop the innate potentials and talents of the coming generation.

She added that the winner of the competition went home with a whopping sum of 3million naira and would also represent Nigeria in Tanzania at the Africa 5 aside football competition. According to her, the company is leveraging on the success of the pilot edition to further enhance the competition and plan adequately for future editions.

According to the organisers, the competition is a strategic avenue to deepen equity for the Trophy brand and also a reward scheme for consumers for their unalloyed loyalty to the brand. A pivotal focus of the competition is also to leverage on entertainment as a vantage platform to reach out to the target audience.
