Information reaching Brand Communicator has it that Babatunde Lasaki has left the services of Nigeria’s foremost, oldest and largest commercial banking group, Firstbank of Nigeria Limited.
Babatunde who served in the position of Head, Communication and External Affairs for the bank has worked in that position for over eight years, having occupied the position since 2011. While there, he led the Communication and External Relations function for the bank which has international presence in London, Paris, Beijing, Johannesburg, Abu Dhabi, Kinshasa, Accra, Banjul, Freetown, Conakry and Dakar with responsibility for the promotion and protection of the brand through strategic marketing and corporate communications, perception and brand management, media relations and public affairs for effective positioning and business growth.
Prior joining Firstbank, Babatunde who is an experienced marketing communication professional with over fifteen years broad history of value contribution and impact practice across Banking, Advertising , Broadcast journalism, and financial services, has worked at Commstrat Brand Communications Ltd as a Senior Manager for Strategy and Media; Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Of Nigeria as Head, Corporate Affairs; Forthright Securities & Investments Ltd (Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange) as Head, Corporate Affairs/Business Development and at Animal Care Services Limited as Corporate Affairs Officer.
Babatunde has a degree in Communication Arts from the University of Ibadan, an MBA Marketing Management from the Lagos State University, MSc of the Pan-African University School of Media and Communication and Advanced Certificate in Strategic Brand Management from the London School of Business and Finance.
