Seven-Up Bottling Company Limited has elevated Segun Ogunleye, former Senior Brand Manager to the position of Marketing Manager.

He was elevated recently due to his outstanding performance and that of his team in growing the brand portfolios of the company.  

It is worthy of note that Seven-Up Bottling Company is one of the largest manufacturing companies in Nigeria. It produce and distribute soft drinks brands such as Pepsi, Mirinda, Seven Up, H2oh!, Mountain Dew and Aquafina bottled water. The company’s brands are popular and widely consumed across the country.

Ogunleye will be overseeing all the marketing activities of the company and will be working to help boost its marketing efforts and actualing its corporate objectives.

He started as the Brand Manager of the company in 2014 before he was elevated to the position of Senior Brand Manager in 2016 and his recent promotion. The campaigns and excellent brand management of Pepsi, 7up and other brands had a touch of Ogunleye’s marketing and brand mastery.

Prior to joining Seven-Up Bottling Company, he worked at SmartMark Ltd as Marketing Communications Manager/Brand Manager NIKE (Nigeria and Ghana) where he later became the Brand Manager SWATCH (Nigeria & Ghana), working in two markets, Nigeria and Ghana.

Basically, he started his career as a Communications Assistant at Cadbury Nigeria Plc. Thereafter, he moved to the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria as Special Assistant to the Rector/Public Relations Officer.

After that, he held the position of Manager (Brand and Communication Strategy) at MullenLowe Lintas Group and later joined UBA Metropolitan as Brand and Communication Specialist. After this position, he joined SmartMark Ltd and eventually joined Seven-Up Bottling Company.

Ogunleye holds a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ogun State. He also holds a Higher Diploma in Airport Planning, Operations and Management from Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria and Certificate in Communications Strategies at Royal Institute of Public Administration International, RIPA, London.

In addition, he holds a Msc in Media and Communications at School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University and an Advanced Certificate in Strategic Brand Management in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from London School of Business and Finance LSBF.

His other certifications are:  Certificate in Corporate Identity and Brand Management from School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University; Certificate in Strategic Marketing Course from Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University and Executive Marketing Education in Marketing from The Wharton School.
