Bad policy formulation and implementation, bad leadership, followership and abundant resources have been fingered amongst Nigeria’s biggest problems.

In a lecture entitled: ‘Leadership, policy marketing and repositioning of the Nigerian Nation’ delivered at Brand Campaign’s fifth anniversary by Dr. Rotimi Oladele, President, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Oladele made these observations while calling on the media and the Nigerian stakeholders to market the ‘change mantra’ policy. He called on the government to rethink its policies and on a change of mindset from Nigerians while buttressing the fact that “policy cannot succeed if there are no policy buyers.”

The fifth anniversary of Brand Campaign was chaired by the publisher of Healthcare magazine, Dr. Bola Olaosebikan and had Mr. Akin Adeoya, Marketing Director, Marketing Mix and Mr. Ikem Okuhu, Managing Director, Brandish.com.ng as guest analysts.

In his speech, publisher, Brand Campaign, Mr. Akinwunmi Dickson expressed his joy at the growth of the magazine, referring to it as “a baby born out of circumstances but grew up to become one of the leaders in the brand communications industry.”

Mr. Akinwunmi implored members of ADVAN, AAAN, NAFDAC, SON, NIMRA and BJAN to come to a round table and fashion out ways to fight the hydra headed terrorist of adulteration of goods and products, substandard imported goods as well as repackaging expired goods which have been killing the consumer slowly.
