Turkish Airlines’ New Video Improves Passenger’s Inflight Safety In Nigeria, Others
In order to enhance security and passenger protection during air transport operations Turkish Airlines, has produced a new in-flight safety video to improve the safety of its passengers in Nigeria and other countries of its operations.
The new video is featuring filmmaker and social media phenomenon Zach King.
Turkish Airlines has been rated for six consecutive years as Europe’s best airline, according to Skytrax, flying to more countries than any other airlines.
With the significant growth in the number of first time or irregular travellers over the recent years, Turkish Airlines, chose to leverage illusions to improve the safety level on-board.
The main purpose of the video is to keep passengers’ attention high during the explanation of important safety procedures using the power of magic.
“For passengers from Nigeria and across other African countries and beyond, Turkish Airlines is offering a new proposition, which underscores the significance that we place on safety of passengers while onboard,” said Turkish Airlines Country Manager, Lagos, Mr. Tarkan Ince. “We have always put safety first in what we do and it is our belief that this is one initiative that will delight our customers to fly with us as their best airline as we constantly put their safety first.”
Also commenting on the in-flight safety video, Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, Mr. İlker Aycı, said, with safety being the number one priority at all levels of our airline, creating concise and engaging safety communications has become extremely important.
“Here at Turkish Airlines, we constantly strive to find the most effective and innovative ways to deliver excellent service and overachiever passenger expectations ensuring the highest level of security during all of our operations,” Aycı said.
Watching the film, passengers are flipped between reality and illusion, with King bringing key aspects of inflight safety to life through his signature digital slight of hand tricks.
A cognitive psychologist and expert in the science of magic at London University’s Goldsmith’s college, Dr. Gustav Kuhn, said, “Magic is one of the oldest and most globally-relevant art forms, studied by psychologists and neuroscientists alike for its ability to involve and indeed engross an audience. It’s exciting to see an airline tap into this reality, taking the modern inflight safety video in a whole new direction.”
The video of the inflight safety video is currently avainable and can be watched on YouTube.
