There are indications that Suntory Beverage & Food, one of the world’s largest food and beverage companies by market valuation will later this month announce agency that will be in charge of its media business.
Information made available revealed that no fewer than three global agencies are participating in the pitch to win the multimillion dollar business. The agencies participating in the pitch include Dentsu Aegis, GroupM and Omnicom.
Suntory Beverage & Food is holding the pitch to determine the agency that will anchor its media strategy in order to reposition the brands in the marketplace.
There are also indications that the pitch is generating interest in Nigeria as the affiliate agencies of the global networks are expectant to warehousing the lucrative media account of the $13.5billion Japanese multination.
Suntory Beverage and Food Nigeria recently completed the divestment of the drinks bottling and distribution of Ribena and Lucozade boost in Nigeria. The transaction was consummated at the global level in 2015 when Suntory bought over the two top brands in a $2.1billion deal from GSK.
