MTN media buying account has finally moved to PHD Nigeria, an affiliate of Omnicom Worldwide despite earlier speculations that the account will go back to Capital Media, an affiliate of DDB which handled the account before moving to Media Perspectives.
However, the global alignment has made it possible for PHD Nigeria to win MTN account which is regarded as highly coveted and juicy marketing business in the industry.
Brand Communicator can authoritative confirm that PHD Nigeria has since commenced work on the account this July.
As at the time of writing this report, no clear mention of the worth of the account was revealed, however, Media monitoring agencies and other industry professionals said that the account will turn PHD Nigeria around to become one of the biggest agencies in the industry.
From all indications, PHD and all other Omnicom agencies in Nigeria will continue with the present strategy of the company while fresh media strategy will be introduced next year.
