TwinPine Limited, operators of Africa’s first indigenous premium mobile advertising network has partnered with Nigeria’s largest provider of mobile telecommunications services, MTN Nigeria to provide mobile advertising solution to assist brands and businesses reach over 60 million Nigerian consumers monthly with 75 million daily impressions.
The mobile advertising platform targets the 60 million MTN subscribers through the native notification channels via SMS push, USSD push, end-of-call notification, balance enquiry and recharge notifications.
The data-driven mobile marketing has been designed to reach the right people with specific targets of age, social class and location, with an opportunity to customise languages based on region.
Mr. Elo Umeh, managing director of TwinPine, said: “We are pleased to be partnering with MTN on this innovative platform. Being an indigenous mobile advertising network, we have the advantage in that we understand the local market and can better help brands reach their target audiences. Speaking on the newly introduced advertising channel, MTN’s Sharafadeen Mohammed said customers intending to use the platform to reach their customers needed not to visit the MTN office as the self-service platform provided an opportunity for them to use the internet to pass their messages across, as well as make payments which would be received by customers within 24 hours.
Mohammed further said MTN had the profile of 50 out of its 60 million subscribers regarding their gender, age bracket, religion, interests, data usage, smart devices, among other information, which would be used for reach, target, performance, response and frequency while sending the mobile advertising messages.
He stressed that the messages would only be delivered to MTN subscribers, and that sending the campaign messages needed not be MTN subscribers to use the platform.
