OAAN Upgrades, Inducts New Members

As part of effort to boost the level of professionalism in the outdoor of Home (OOH) industry in the country, the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) has upgraded seven of its member companies, inducted five members and admitted two companies to the association.

The induction and upgrade ceremony took place at the association’s 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM)/Conference held at Owu Crown Hotel Ibadan, Oyo State recently.

The President of the association, Tunde Adedoyin, Chiddy Ibiam (Mrs), General Manager, OAAN and other members who presented the certificate to members urged the inducted and upgraded members to ensure high standard of professionalism and ethical practice in their business operations.

Meanwhile, the members pledged to abide by the code and conduct of OAAN, regulatory bodies and ultimately work together to lift the OOH industry to a greater height.

The five newly inducted members are Audience & Brands Consulting Ltd, Rainbow Advertising Tech. Ltd, GroundForce Marketing Services Limited, Horizon Outdoor Advertising Limited and Alpha and Jam Limited.

On the same note, the two admitted members are Rentspeed Nigeria Limited and Almubarak Marketing Agency Int’l Limited.

The upgraded members are Sharp Edge Marketing Communication Limited which was upgraded to Full Member; Absolute Outdoor Advertising Limited elevated to Associate Member; Clear Horizone Communication Limited, Associate Member; Mkpoko Ikenga Limited, Associate Member; Neat-Tag Outdoor Limited, Associate Member; Scout Media Limited, Associate Member; and Ultimate Media Consulting Limited, Associate Member.

According to OAAN on its website, membership of the association is opened to “any eligible company which aspires or wishes to join the Association, and shall apply in the prescribed form and shall upon the recommendation of the Membership Committee and the ratification of the Executive Council be admitted to the grade of Associate Member.

“An Associate Member shall remain in that grade for a period of not less than twenty -four (24) months during which period it shall satisfy the Association of its proficiency in the practice of Outdoor Advertising.

In addition, “an Associate Member which wishes to be up- graded to the full Membership of the Association shall apply in the prescribed form and shall upon the recommendation of the Membership Committee and the ratification of the Executive Council be admitted to the grade of Full Member and shall thereafter be entitled to all such rights and privileges as the Executive Council may from time to time prescribe.”
