As Loeries2018 is winding up in Durban, South Africa amidst apprehension of which agency wins what in the remaining categories after the first round of awards were given out on Friday night, participants are still having fun here in Durban venue of the Loeries 2018 Creative Week.
On Thursday there were series of Masterclasses where participants learnt how to improve on their craft and be successful persons. The fun centre to spice up the event this year is the DStv Beach Café at Elangeni Beach Front opens 06h00 to 16h00 everyday. It is a fantastic hub right on the beach, for meals and drinks that was open with a DJ every afternoon where attendees can catch a lots of fun.
There, participants meet with friends or industry folks and pop in for a drink or have their agencies lunch at the cafe.
On Friday DStv Seminar of Creativity was a day-long event with the robust speakers that include top business people in Africa, Europe, and across the world. Some of the speakers that spoke were Fabian Frese, Chief Creative Officer, Kolle Rebbe; Ian Mackenzie, Executive Creative Director, FCB/SIXplay; Mzamo Masito, Chief Marketing Officer, Google Africa; Nicolas Courant, Executive Creative Director, Ogilvy & Mather; Lethepu Matshaba, Vice President Homecare Southern Africa, Unilever; Ramsey Naja, Chief Creative Officer, J. Walter Thompson Middle East and Africa; Sebastian Padilla, Co-founder, Anagrama.
According to Loeries organizers, all these speakers met the requirements to speak at the 2018 DStv Seminar of Creativity.
Meanwhile with the first set of awards announced yesterday night, today (Saturday) promises to be an interesting evening with more awards expected to be won.
