Lagos NIPR Set To Host Third Communications Gala, Awards

The Lagos State Chapter; the flagship branch of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), is set to host the third edition of the Lagos PR Industry Gala and Awards, popularly called the LaPRIGA Awards, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday December 20, 2018.

The LaPRIGA Award is the high-profile communications industry Oscars aimed at celebrating practitioners, corporates, public concerns and stakeholders to boost professionalism and more investment in the practice.

This edition, themed: The HATTRICK, is a complete immersive experience presenting in its true essence a celebration of musical artistry, depth and richness as well as spectacular visuals and fine dining by a top international chef, accompanied by soothing soul music and drama from popular acts. It is a night of elegance, class and entertainment exclusively for the communications industry and most influential stakeholders.

Another special highlight of the event is the presentation of LaPRIGA Awards to practitioners and corporate bodies for their contribution to the development of the profession over the years. The prizes will be administered by the Advisory Board of LaPRIGA made up of individuals with impeccable character and requite academic and professional accomplishments.

Ten percent of the net proceed is earmarked to advance the Chapter’s advocacy initiative geared towards increasing the awareness, acceptance, respect and support for people living with Autism Spectrum Disorders [ASD].

Nine corporates; MTN Foundation, Promasidor, Dufil Prima Foods, Airtel Nigeria, First Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, Chevron Nigeria, Nigerian Breweries and Lafarge, received the prestigious LaPRIGA award for their extraordinary acts of giving, sharing and loving which has made a demonstrable difference in host communities and in the lives of specific persons.
