LAPO Microfinance Appoints Oluremi Olatunji As Head Of Communications

The management of LAPO Microfinance Bank has appointed Oluremi Olatunji as the Head of Communications of the bank.

He will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and coordination of the bank’s communications.  His competence will be brought to bear as he will be helping to grow the bank remarkably. His core areas of competence includes: Corporate Brand Advertising and Product promotions, Ideation, ATL, BTL, TTL execution capabilities, media management, Corporate Brand Management and among others.

Prior to joining LAPO Microfinance Bank, he was the Managing Director at Adrenalyn Consulting Nigeria where he developed marketing strategies and deployed tactics on various projects for clients. He also handled brand audit and internal communications, tactical marketing support, experiential activation, among others for series of clients.

Before that he worked at Polaris Bank Limited (Former Skye Bank) for a decade. He started there as Sponsorships & Events Management at the bank before he was elevated to Agencies & Media Management (Senior Banking Officer) and later became the Corporate and Consumer Brand Management.

As Corporate and Consumer Brand Management, he led the corporate brand audit and repositioning exercise and implemented the new brand direction through the deployment of “The Skye is Big Enough.”

He also achieved key market penetration, adoption and patronage of both new and existing Retail products through the development and deployment of strategic and tactical communications for the bank. In addition, he developed a robust Internal Retail product engagement platform as well as deployed top of mind campaigns that increased staff product knowledge, participation and adoption by well over 70%.

Prior to that, he worked as Associate Consultant at Philips Consulting and Dali Communications as Relationship Management and Business Development.

Oluremi is a graduate of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages from the University of Ilorin. Furthermore, he studied Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia at the Red & Yellow Creative School of Business and Brand Management at School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University.

He also holds an associate degree in Marketing/Marketing Management, General at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
