X3M Ideas Elevates Pelumi Akiode to Group Head

One of Africa’s foremost new generation creative agencies, X3M Ideas has elevated a member of its staff, Pelumi Akiode to the position of Group Head, Brand Management.

Akiode who was before his elevation a senior Manager at the agency is credited with creating insight-based, winning strategies and marketing communication campaigns for brands across segments like banking, FMCG, etc. Some of these brands include Globacom, 9mobile (Etisalat), Access Bank, FrieslandCampina WAMCO (Peak), SuperSports, Oando Marketing, CFAO-Yamaha, Chivita Active, Chi Health Soya Milk, Chi Snacks, Bang & Olufsen, Justrite Superstores, Raumplus, Mercedes Benz Atego, Straitgate College, Hisense, Sukam, Midea, Mainstreet Bank Estate Company Limited, Nigerian Communications Commission, Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals, Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association, Netop Business Systems, Accion Microfinance Bank and Ambassage Properties.

Prior joining the agency, he was a strategist at Fuel Communications Limited. He however cut his teeth as a marketing executive at Posh Unique Services, developing marketing strategies for marketing company products and services to existing and prospective clients as well as implementing developed marketing strategies for marketing company products and services and liaising with existing and prospective clients on behalf of the company.

An Alumnus of the Olabisi Onabanjo University where he obtained a degree in Mass Communication, Akiode has certificates in Strategic Marketing for Competitive Advantage and Sustainability Project Management (both from the Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University) and other certificates from the Orange Academy, Lagos as well as the DayStar Leadership Academy.
