Cannes Lions Calls For Entries, Announces New Categories

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has called for the submission of entries for the 2020 awards. It also revealed that new categories have been introduced.
According to the website: “In 2020 we have a new award, the Creative Business Transformation Lions, a refresh to the PR Lions and across the rest of the Lions, some new categories as well as a few updates.”
One of the new categories and updates is it evolved the Film Craft Lions with two new sections Production and Post-Production and the addition of the new category Colour Correction/Grading.
It also expanded the Culture and Context section which now includes two separate categories for Social Behaviour and Cultural Insight. Similarly, it introduced the Culture and Context section to Outdoor and Print & Publishing Lions.
Others are: it introduced new category Corporate Purpose & Social Responsibility, which replaces the CSR category to reflect the development of work in this area. Also, it refreshed all the Lions and categories to keep them in line with industry developments.
Another addition is the Creative Business Transformation Lions celebrate the creativity that drives businesses forward – creative thinking that changes how brands organise themselves, how people work and how customers engage with them.
This Lion recognises the ingenuity that leads to the creation of new products and services, and the reinvention of operations and customer experiences in companies of all sizes that drives transformative change.
Entries should demonstrate how creative change has been achieved across core business functions and has delivered a positive impact and growth for business, staff or customers. Including, but not limited to, the creation of new products and services, the use of technology and business design, and the reinvention of operations and customer experiences in order to drive transformative change.
