Buki Osunkeye, a former General Manager of Mindshare Nigeria, a subsidiary of Algorithm Media has joined Sterling Bank as the Head of Retail Products Marketing of the financial institution.

In her new role, she is expected to help boost the bank’s retail products marketing efforts and oversee all the activities that will make the company achieve its goals and aspirations.

Interesting to note, Buki is a thorough bred marketing communications professional with more than a decade experience, traversing sectors that include core advertising, experiential marketing, brand management, and media buying.

She is also a chartered marketer and professional brand strategist who started her career in advertising with STBMcann and then went on to Tequila, then TBWA and later ran a subsidiary of LTC advertising, before joining Bloomberg TV Africa briefly and moving on to Algorithm Media as a pioneer staff in 2016.

Buki was responsible for budgets over $1million at a time and has run marketing and media campaigns Pan Nigeria, driving hard to surpass previous ROIs and KPIs for multinational brands such as Nokia, B&H, Airtel, Peak Milk, Guinness, Virgin Atlantic, UBA, Coca-Cola and most recently, Facebook and Whatsapp.

Buki is a digital transformation specialist, reputed for her high integrity and strategic thinking. In 2019, she was awarded the Outstanding Female Media Independent Professional of the year at Women in Marketing Conference and Communications Awards (WIMCA).
