Leo Burnett’s Adebola Makes CLIO Awards Jury List
The Creative team Lead at Leo Burnett, Adebola Adegbulugbe has been selected as jury member of the prestigious CLIO Awards.
She will be judging in the Film Craft: copywriting category alongside notable advertising professionals across the world. Some of the other professionals include Ajayib Alsadi, Associate Creative Director, UBRAND; Elissa Azizi, Creative Group Head, TBWA Malaysia; Tajj Badil-Abish, Copywriter, Goodby Silverstein & Partners; Loana Enache, Group Creative Director, MRM Romania and others.
Noteworthy, the Clio Awards is an annual award programme that recognizes innovation and creative excellence in advertising, design and communication, as judged by an international panel of advertising professionals. Time magazine described the event as the world’s most recognizable international advertising awards.
Adebola is a senior creative with over 11 years of creating award winning marketing communications solutions that connect with today’s consumer. She is one of the major creative minds driving the success at Leo Burnett, Lagos.
Adebola started her career as a copywriter in 2008 with the leading advertising company in Nigeria, Insight Communications now Insight Publicis, part of Publicis Worldwide. She has since gone on to create ground-breaking work for local and global brands like Heineken, Amstel Malta, MTN (Telecoms) Nestle, Cadbury, Tecno Mobile, to name a few. Adebola has long been a champion for equal representation and in recognition of her work, was recognized as a future creative leader in 2017 by Cannes Lions and selected as a See It Be It delegate. The highly competitive programme designed to groom future creative leaders, had participants from all over the world, getting first class training and mentoring from global industry icons, with a charge to go and impact their own respective countries with the knowledge acquired.
In March 2019, The Dots, UK, recognized Adebola as one of the 100 female trailblazers defining the creator landscape globally. Adebola strongly believes that creativity has the power to change human behaviour and most importantly, when her clients win, she has won too.
She is an alumnus of the University of Lagos and Cambridge Marketing College, where she graduated top of her class with a degree in English and a diploma in Marketing Communications respectively. She also has an insane obsession for South Korean historical dramas.
