The 20020 edition of Women In Marketing and Communications Conference/Awards (WIMCA) holds this Friday, November 13, 2020 on virtual platform at 9am prompt.
WIMCA is organised by Brand Communicator and it is the foremost thought leadership platform for insights and contemporary trends in engaging female consumers and at the same time recognising outstanding women and corporate organisations for their contributions to the growth of their various industries and the country at large. Meet WIMCA 2020 Keynote Speaker- Victor Gbenga Afolabi
Victor Gbenga Afolabi is a passionate and visionary leader who has in the last 20 years not only displayed and demonstrated an exceptional knack for turning businesses around, but has also sustainably birthed several business ventures with an unbroken chain of top and bottom-line growth across multi-disciplinary industries.
Victor Gbenga Afolabi is the Chief Executive Officer of Hazon Holdings, a diversified business Holding Company and the founder of Eko Innovation Center, an enterprise development Centre for startup and MSMEs, who deploy technology and innovation in the area of Agriculture, Health Care, Market access, Renewable energy and Fintech.
PANELISTS (1ST SESSION)
Ifeoma Dozie is a Marketing Director with more than fifteen years’ experience. Currently the Director, Marketing and Communications Sub Saharan Africa at Mastercard, Ifeoma has an extensive international work experience across different categories within the drinks sector. She was regional Marketing Officer at The Heineken Company where she was responsible for the development of strategic business plans and marketing capabilities for key markets within the Africa region.
She also improved the equity growth, sales performance and profitability of the non-alcoholic drinks’ category in line with the company’s overall profit and portfolio objectives during her time as Marketing Manager – Non-Alcoholic drinks at The Heineken Company, Nigeria, a position she held for more than four years.
Dr. Tola Bamigbaiye-Elatuyi
Dr. Tola Bamigbaye-Elatuyi is the Executive Director of Marketing for the Hs Media Group. Prior this position, she was the Marketing Manager, Innovations for Guinness Nigeria. With a Doctorate from the International School of Management, ISM France, she has an M.Sc in Marketing and a first degree in Insurance both from the University of Lagos.
So far, she has had over 15 years Leadership, Marketing and Business Development experience in Africa (Nigeria, West Africa) and GULF (Dubai, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain), delivering profitable Market share growth while building brand equity and acceptance in some of the top multinational FMCGs like Reckitt Benckiser, Unilever, Cadbury.
Bukola Akingbade (Moderator)
Bukola Akingbade is the Founder and CEO of Kucheza Gaming, an African focused esports company for 6 – 18-yearolds. Bukola is also a founding partner of Neukleos (a digital first solutionist company) and the Republicom Group, conveners of TechPlus (Africa’s largest technology platform) and Advertising Week Africa. Under her leadership Neukleos started Springboard, a 6-month internship program to recruit and train penultimate university students in design, coding (focus on female coders) and performing art courses to re-tool them for the marketplace.
Over an impressive 15-year career, Bukola has developed deep skills in brand strategy, business transformation and ethical business practices. She is a speaker and an editorial contributor to industry magazines.

Ayodele Otunjinrin is the Head of Marketing, West Africa, Godrej Consumer Products. She is a consummate marketing professional with experience in strategic brand building, idea leadership and digital media management across diverse brand boundaries spanning leading corporate financial services, Food & Beverage, & FMCG brands among others.
She has had close to a decade experience in the communications industry managing brands, interactive digital and non-digital marketing projects for global brands. In this time, she has come to be known for being passionate in conceiving and delivering new ways to use technology to connect with consumers to consistently deliver profit and brand equity.
Amaechi Okobi is a highly motivated marketing and communications professional with extensive working experience in diverse industries such as FMCG, and telecommunication. With proven expertise in marketing communications and brand management, he possesses leadership and mentoring skills and via Toastmaster membership, excellent presentation and training skills.
He currently sits at the helm of Access Bank’s communication department in the capacity of Group Head, Corporate Communications. He will be bringing his expertise and experience to fore at WIMCA’s Virtual Conference.
Nkiru Olumide- Ojo
Nkiru Olumide-Ojo is the Author/Founder, Lighthouse Women’s Network. She has two decades experience in Marketing and Communications looking after multinational and national brands in Nigeria and other West African Markets. Her work experience spans across various industries including Aviation, Telecommunication, Oil and Gas sectors, and Financial Services.
Over the past couple of years, Nkiru has won awards within and outside the Marketing and Communications industry including NIPRO’s top 40 under 40, Marketing World’s leading Women in Marketing and Communication, Marketing Personality of the year 2016, amongst others.
Ilyas Kazeem is the Marketing Director for Eat ‘N’ Go, a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) company and parent company of Domino’s Pizza, Pinkberryand Coldstone Creamery. Kazeem’s illustrious career covers over 12 years of marketing communications experience globally and regionally across all segments of marketing, ranging from Category Design to Product Development for Sub Saharan Africa, Category/Brand Management for East and West Africa, Marketing Brand Communication for West Africa, Sales, GTM plans and Distributor Plans Development, Content management, Agency Management, Entertainment(Social) and Education.
Prior joining Eat ‘N’ Go in 2018, he was the Senior Brand Manager at Hayat Kimya where he successfully led such brands like Molfix and Familia to disrupt the market in their various category-with Molfix becoming a market leader in less than three years.
Phoebe Dami-Asolo is the Customer Marketing and Commercial Manager.Phoebe commenced her career in the Nigerian IMC industry in 2012 at the Nigerian Breweries as an Assistant Manager for the Amstel Malta and Fayrouz brands. In 2016, she was elevated to the position of Brand Manager, Strongbow Apple Ciders, a position she held till she left to join Reckitt Benckiser in July, same year.
At Reckitt Benkiser, she quickly assumed the position of Brand Manager for one of the company’s flagship brands, Dettol. Exactly two years later, following her achievements with the Dettol brand, she was elevated to the position of Brand Manager, West Africa where she was in charge of such brands as Harpic, Dettol, Jik, and Mortein in the West African markets. She was there till she left to occupy her present position.
