George Enema Joins Transcorp As Head Of Marketing And Corporate Communications

Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp Plc) has appointed formerBrand Manager Foods (Knorr) at Unilever Nigeria Plc, George Enema has its new Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications.

Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc, is a diversified conglomerate with strategic investments and core interests in the hospitality, agribusiness and energy sectors.

In his new role, George would be responsible for overseeing all the marketing and corporate communications of the company. He will lead the strategic marketing communications and operational delivery of activity for the organisation.

George has had more than a decade work experience as a brands, marketing and business operations professional spanning the advertising, FMCG and Information Technology sectors. Having worked with multinational firms like British American Tobacco, he has had the opportunity of launching and managing the Pall Mall brand in Benin Republic and Nigeria for British American Tobacco.

Prior to joining Transcorp Plc, he was the Brand Manager, Foods (Knorr) in Unilever Nigeria, where he was responsible for strategy formulation and implementation, forecasting using the SnOp Process, delivering of business results, innovation & Project Management (New Product Development), brand equity building among others.

Noteworthy, he started as Assistant Category Manager Fabclean at Unilever Nigeria, before he was elevated to the position of Assistant Category Manager Skin Care & Deodorants and later to Brand Manager Foods (Knorr), Unilever Nigeria Plc.

He has also worked at IBM and 141 Worldwide (now Nitro121). At IBM, he managed the marketing and communications/external relations plans and activities for IBM in Nigeria, Ghana and Senegal. Meanwhile, at 141 Worldwide (now Nitro121), he managed the Dunhill brand as a Brand manager.

George is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach with certification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. He has had world class training and experience in Brand and marketing communications, new brand introduction, information technology, account management and business development, over the years.
