Ayo Awosika Exits Coca-Cola, Joins Tiger Brands As Customer Director, East & West Africa
Months after his appointment as the Franchise Director for East, North and Central regions of the Nigeria Franchise for Coca-Cola, Ayo Awosika has left the services of the global CSD giants to pitch tent with Tiger Brands as Customer Director for East and West Africa.
In his new role, Ayo will be responsible for overseeing the acceleration of the Tiger brand System revenue, volume, and value share within the Eastern and Western African markets. Tiger Brands is a global packaged goods company. In addition to the company’s South African operations, Tiger Brands also has direct and indirect interests in international food businesses in Chile, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Nigeria, Kenya and Cameroon. According to findings, Tiger Brands is South Africa’s largest food company and one of the biggest in Africa.
For the new role, Ayo Awosika brings a wealth of experience, four of which was at Coca-Cola Nigeria as the Franchise Manager for East & Central regions of the Nigeria Franchise. Ayo boasts over a decade of Sales and Commercial leadership experience in Route to Market, Distributor Management, Sales Strategy and various Sales & Commercial roles with P&G. In his new role as Franchise Director, he will oversee the acceleration of the Coca-Cola System revenue, volume, and value share growth in Nigeria.
Ayo Awosika holds an MBA from Babcock University. He also possesses Chartered Postgraduate Certificate in Mastering Metrics from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), United Kingdom, and he is a Member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria. He has also attended several executive trainings in Cornell University.
