OAAN To Hold AGM June 25
The Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) has concluded plans to hold its 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, June 25 2021.
According to a notice signed by the General Secretary of the association, Olusola Akinsiku, the AGM is slated to hold at the conference Hotel, Abeokuta, Ogun State. It stated that only members that have paid their financial dues will be allowed to vote at the meeting.
“Only member-companies represented by their chief executive officers or proxies and that have fully paid all financial dues will be eligible to attend and vote at the meeting.
“The highpoint of the programme will be the dissolution of current executive council, election of member of the new Executive Council. This will be after the consideration and acceptance of the presidential, secretarial and financial reports together with the audited financial statements of the Association for the year ended 31st December, 2020. The meeting will also consider the auditors’ report, the reports of committees and approve the admission of new member-companies,” the statement reads.
Remarkably, what today has metamorphosed into OAAN was OACAN-Outdoor Advertising Contractors Association of Nigeria, born in 1964 with the primary objective of constituting a body to deal with the Government. Today has grown in stature and expanded its scope beyond the single objective of meeting government on regulations that might be inimical to the growth and practice of the industry.
