Seyi Owolawi Joins The Temple Management Company As Creative Director

Consummate creative professional, Seyi Owolawi has left the services of one of Nigeria’s most awarded creative agencies, DDB Lagos to join The Temple Management Company, a full-service creative company operating in the entertainment, media, film/video production, events, arts and sports sectors, as Creative Director.

In his new role, Owolawi will be responsible for overseeing the overall quality of work produced by the creative department and managing the creative process from concept to completion among others.

He has more than a decade experience spanning advertising, banking, communications, and FCMG. He is also a multiple award winning Creative Director, as some of its works for clients have won at Cannes Young Lions, Epica Shortlist, LAIF Awards and Miami AD School Scholarship. Owolawi has also worked on local and global brands such as Diageo, Dulux, Globacom, Guinness, Indomie Noodles, Johnnie Walker, MTN, Paga, and Smirnoff.

Prior to joining the company, he was the Associate Creative/Business Director for DDB Lagos, having worked with other notable creative advertising powerhouse.

Owolawi started off his career as a Management Trainee at Reckitt Benckiser where he was responsible for tracking activities of competing brands, monitoring of Van sales representatives (VSRs) activities and inspecting product placement and presence in outlets among others.

He later moved to DDB Lagos as Copywriter and later joined Noah’s Ark Communications as Creative and before he was promoted to the position of Senior Creative. After his success at the agency, he moved to SO&U as Deputy Group Head and later was promoted to the position of Group Head.

Owolawi moved on to rejoin DDB Lagos, now as Associate Creative Director and left the agency as its Associate Creative/Business Director before joining The Temple Management Company.

He holds a B.sc in Forest Resources Management from the University of Ibadan; Msc in Media and Communications from the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University. He has also bagged certifications from other institutions such as certificate in  Radio Workshop with Tony Hertz from the Creative Radio Advertising Workshop;  Certificate in Management Training (Bulletproof Manager) from the Crestcom; and Concepting, Storytelling & Writing and Integrated Campaigns from the Miami Ad School in Europe.
