TVC Communications Commemorate 2021 Child Health Day

Every year TVC Communications; owners of TVC, TVC News, Max FM (Lagos & Abuja) & Adaba FM reach out to various communities every 4th of October, to commemorate World Child Health Day.

As expected, this year’s event was held at the Ikosi-Isheri Health Center with a symposium for Mothers and children within Ikosi -Isheri Local Council Development Area with a focus on the Importance of breastfeeding, healthy nutrition and personal hygiene in local communities.

The event commenced with a symposium centered around 3 key areas of focus including Childcare & breastfeeding, Nutrition and Personal hygiene. Guest speakers and experts discussed these major topics aimed towards creating awareness to physical healthiness, children’s wellness and well-being, emotional wellness and family/community interaction.

One of the guest speakers, Dr. Alero Roberts, Senior Lecturer College of Medicine University of Lagos shed light on the theme of the event and also enlightened the mothers on the various benefits associated with breastfeeding, personal hygiene and healthy nutrition for children.

According to the Head, Corporate Communications, PR & Digital, TVC Communications, Mabel Aladenusi – Adeteye, the World Child Health Day is one of the various CSR activities that TVC communications have adopted to drive community impact while also raising awareness about how we can improve child health in local communities and by extension Nigeria.

“Our CSR practice at TVC Communications is to integrate social and environmental goals into our business operations while promoting child development and growth. We are using this initiative to further drive our community impact while also raising awareness on child protection, child welfare and children’s health. She said.

The activities of the day were wrapped with a donation of child welfare and childcare products to mothers and children at the Ikosi-Ketu Local Government Health Center.

The symposium was also attended by the Chairman Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Mayoress Samiat Abolanle Bada; Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Civic Engagement Hon. Aderemi Adebowale (represented by Mrs Olaide Ibrahim, Director Admin & HR office of the Civic Engagement), Deputy Chief Finance Officer, TVC Communications, Victoria Ajayi, the Director of PCEO Kemi Shonubi, Head, Corporate Communications, PR & Digital at TVC Communications, Mabel Aladenusi-Adeteye and Medical Officer of Health, Ikosi -Isheri Health Centre, Dr. Owoyele Wasiu.
