Olubunmi Ojo Joins Diageo As Digital Media & Influencer Manager


Consummate digital marketing professional, Olubunmi Ojo has been appointed as the Digital Media & Influencer Manager of Diageo, one of the world’s largest producers of spirits and beers, after her exit from PZ Cussons. 

Recall, early this year she joined PZ Cussons as Digital Marketing Manager after leaving Vlisco where she held the same position.

In her new position at Diageo, she will be overseeing the digital media and influencer marketing activities of the organisation. Also, she will be responsible for managing the end-to-end operations of the brand’s influencer marketing campaigns.

In the past, she has helped companies grow their digital platform by using her wealth of experience, having implemented a series of digital campaigns which include pay-per-click, display digital, SEO audit, content marketing, and mobile marketing for companies in the financial, FMCG, and Telco industries to increase brand awareness and engagement as well as drive lead generation and grow usage of their products/services.

Ojo began her career as a Business Development Executive at the Private Property Nigeria before she moved to the banking sector to work with Diamond Bank Plc (before it merged with Access Bank) as Administrative Officer. She later joined PAL Pensions as a Pension Service Analyst.

At PAL Pensions, she was responsible for the PAL social media platforms such as Live- Chat, Facebook page, LinkedIn page, and Twitter account, maintaining ongoing communications with all accounts and fostering loyal, lasting relationships with Corporate (HNI) clients and their staff among others.

After contributing to the growth of PAL Pension’s digital platforms, she joined Wild Fusion Digital Centre as Digital Marketing, devising strategies to drive online traffic to the company’s website and other duties.

She later joined Eat ‘n’ Go Limited where she served as the Lead, Digital Marketing Specialist for Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited, Cold Stone Creamery, and Pinkberry Ventures before joining Vlisco Netherlands B.V. and later PZ Cussons.

Ojo holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Lagos and a Diploma in Direct and Digital Marketing (Dip. DigM) from the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing.
