The Chairman of the Lagos Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Mrs. Comfort Nwankwo, has expressed deep shock over the news of the passing of the Dean, School of Media and Communication (SMC), Pan-Atlantic University, Dr. Mike Okolo.
In a condolence message sent to the school, Mrs. Nwankwo described the news of the passing of the intellectual giant as heartbreaking, distressing, and a rude shock to members of the premier Chapter of the institute.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the faculty and staff of SMC. Words can’t convey our sadness over this sad news,” Mrs. Nwankwo said.
“We were looking forward to welcoming Dr. Okolo into the fold of the institute, having filled out his membership form and I appended my signature to it. We were waiting for the induction ceremony to officially welcome him into the fold.
“It is our heartfelt prayers that God will comfort his family and friends this trying time.”
