NIPR Gears Up For AGM/Citizens Summit August 22-25
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has concluded plans to hold it’s 2022 Annual General Meeting and Citizens Summit on National Integration tagged ‘Abuja 2022’.
The event will be held in Abuja from August 22 to 25, 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The Institute has also mapped out a strategy for a multi-ethnic and multi-sectoral strategy to be consummated through its national integration summit.
Recall, after a nationwide consultation with different interest groups, a four-member council team of the Institute, led by Dr. Ike Neliaku, on behalf of President of the Institute, Mukhtar Sirajo, recently visited the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the telecom industry regulator, to intimate the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Commission, Prof. Umar Danbatta, about the steps already taken to ensure that the unique summit comes to fruition.
Neliaku said that the institute had organised zonal dialogue sessions with leaders of thought, representing ethnic and institutional interests, and met with some state and non-state actors to support the project and participate in the implementation of its resolutions.
Also, Arik Air partnered with the institute as the Official Airline for the AGM/Citizens Summit and it is expected to fly members of the institute and other delegates to and fro Abuja at a special discounted fare.
Arik Air’s director of Flight Operations, Adetokunbo Adekunbi elaborated on the partnership with NIPR: “We are pleased to partner with NIPR, the professional and regulatory body for Public Relations practitioners in Nigeria.
“Arik Air is proud of its association with this institute and assures its members of our commitment to highest operational safety standards and customer experience. We wish the NIPR a successful AGM and Citizens Summit”.
