Three marketing communication high-fliers and legends will be inducted into the Brandcom Awards’ Hall of Fame taking place on Friday, November 25th, 2022 at the D’Podium Event Center, Ikeja, Lagos. The Hall of Fame Induction is part of the 2022 Brandcom Awards ceremony organized by Nigeria’s leading brands and marketing publication, Brand Communicator.
These exemplary industry giants include the CEO of Entod Marketing Ltd, Iquo Ukoh; Erudite Professor of Strategic Management and Dean, Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, Chris Ogbechie; as well as the chairman of STB McCann and former Chairman of Zenith Bank, Steve Omojafor.
The trio will be inducted for their immense contributions to the growth of the brands and marketing communications industry.
Former Marketing Services Director of Nestle Foods Nigeria, Mrs. Iquo Ukoh has put in over three decades in core marketing practice up to the highest level. She is currently the CEO, of Entod Marketing Ltd. The marketing Amazon is also the founder of 1qfoodplatter, an instafamous food account that effectively uses colors, and lighting styling to get her followers to spend minutes with her in her creative food world.
Professor Ogbechie, another nominee for the Hall of Fame, has a first-class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manchester University, an MBA from Manchester Business School, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Brunel Business School in the UK. He has vast experience in marketing, strategy, and corporate governance derived from his work as Head of Marketing/Sales at Nestle Nigeria. While at Nestle, he held international positions in Malaysia, Singapore, and Switzerland.
In academics, Ogbechie boasts of publications in reputable national and international journals, conference papers, and books. He is the founding Director of the Sustainability Centre at LBS; where he teaches strategy, sustainability, and corporate governance, and also Strathmore Business in Nairobi, Kenya.
Another nominee and accomplished marketing communication guru, Steve Omojafor is also an advertising icon and holder of the national award of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
The septuagenarian advertising expert is the chairman of STB McCann. He holds a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos. The business magnate is also the chairman of the Board of Trustees of Augustine University in Epe; the chairman, of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria.
According to the organizers of the event, the three personalities to be inducted this year have consistently contributed to the integrated marketing communications industry, the business community, and the country at large.
Commenting on the awards, Convener of Brandcom Awards and Publisher of Brand Communicator, Joshua Ajayi stressed that the three distinguished personalities have contributed enormously to the growth of the integrated marketing communications industry and that is the reason they were recongised and celebrated.
