Ab Inbev Elevates Tolulope Adedeji To Senior Director, Trade Marketing and Sales Operations In Canada

Global brewing giant, Anheuser-Busch InBev has elevated Tolulope Adedeji to the position of Senior Director, Trade Marketing and Sales Operations at Labatt Breweries of Canada.

Before her elevation, Adedeji was the Marketing Director of International Breweries (AbInBev) where she led the marketing teams in West Africa, building iconic brands like Budweiser, Trophy, Hero and Club. She was also an Executive Director on the Board of International Breweries.

With about 18 years extensive experience in building Brands and businesses, Adedeji has built brands from scratch to market leadership and has transformed brands from challengers to established brands. Over the course of her career, she has built over 15 brands across Africa and is known for consistent brand growth and innovation.

Sharing the exciting news on her LinkedIn handle, she wrote, “I’m excited and humbled to share that I’m starting a new position as Senior Director, Trade Marketing and Sales Operations at Labatt Breweries of Canada! (Ab InBev).

“To our partner agencies, peers, mentees, coaches, employees, thank you for the trust and collaboration. We made magic and transformed the landscape. Be proud, and let’s humbly keep the ship sailing. To my family, we did it together. I am because you are,” she wrote.

Before she joined Ab Inbev, Adedeji was a Brand/Commercial Director of Procter & Gamble Nigeria.  Preceding this, she was the Brand and Commercial Leader of the P&G business in Ethiopia.

Some of her key achievements within Procter and Gamble includes working on award winning campaign like the ‘Always 8 hours’ campaign which was exported globally, designed and launched In-store marketing models, driving sales, awareness and trial in the retail environment/ stores, new brand design and launch across Africa among others.

She commenced her professional journey with P&G in 2004 as a Cost Analyst, got elevated in 2006 to the Customer Business Development Finance manager position and then to senior financial analyst- Gillette and Customer Business Development Finance, a year later. In 2008, she was made the Assistant Brand Manager for the Always brand, elevated to a Brand Manager in 2010.

Tolulope would go on to manage such brands as Always, Vicks, laundry and batteries brands. The same year, she got promoted to the Senior Brand manager position for P&G’s Instore marketing, West Africa. By 2014, she rose to become the Senior Regional Brand Manager (design & delivery) for Africa. By 2015, she was made an Associate Director: Brand and Commercial Leader for Ethiopia, before her last position at the multinational.

Adedeji holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Babcock University, a Masters of Business Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master’s of Science in International Management from the University of Liverpool, UK. She recently completed her Marketing in Digital era program with Harvard Business school in 2021.

She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM) and got invited as a member of Forbes Communications council in 2022.

She is passionate about growing businesses, children literacy, female empowerment and youth development. She authored Smart Sindara, the adventure series- a fiction book centered on self-confidence, leadership and culture for African children in 2016. She is on the board of Caring friends foundation (NGO for children with special needs).
