PAU Appoints Dr. Obiaya As Dean, School Of Media And Communication

Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, has announced the appointment of Dr. Ikechukwu Obiaya as the Dean of the School of Media and Communication.

Dr. Obiaya’s appointment was announced in a memo shared on the school’s LinkedIn page.

It read, “We are delighted to announce Dr. Ikechukwu Obiaya’s appointment as the new Dean of the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University.

“Dr. Obiaya’s appointment as dean will be his second, and we are confident that his leadership and expertise will propel our institution to new heights.

“We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Ngozi Okpara for serving as Acting Dean during this time of transition.

“We appreciate all of Dr. Okpara’s hard work and dedication to the role, and we are grateful for her contributions to the school. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Obiaya on his appointment as the new Dean.”

Dr. Obiaya has a background in English having studied it at both the undergraduate and masters levels. He has a varied practical experience in the media having worked at various moments in both a broadcast house and a publishing company.

He has also carried out some studies on the audience of the Nigerian video film as well as on workers in the industry.
