Season Of Love: Dentsu X Nigeria, Lagos Food Bank Donate Food Items Towards Charity

Dentsu X Nigeria has partnered with a non-governmental organisation, Lagos Food Bank Initiative to make food items and essentials available to some Nigerian communities in need. This is as Dentsu X Nigeria visited the NGO’s office in Lagos and donated foodstuff and other items, including Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets.
The donation targeted at reducing hunger and malaria was done on Tuesday, February 14, Valentine’s Day.
Speaking on the project, the Chief Operating Officer/General Manager of Dentsu X Nigeria, Adekemi Alegbeleye, said the full-service integrated marketing communications company utilised the Valentine’s season to give back to the community as a way to show love.
She also explained that the gesture was in line with Dentsu’s ‘Draw the Line’ campaign to end malaria and the company’s CSR Sustainability initiative, aimed at actualising the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and fostering social impact across the globe.
Alegbeleye said, “Valentine’s season is here again, and we believe it’s the perfect opportunity to show how much we care. At Dentsu International, we aim to be a force for good. We use our talent and creativity to actively build a world that is more sustainable and inclusive through a wide variety of community activities. “
Dentsu X Nigeria rides on Dentsu International’s CSR platform of Sustainability, to partner with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, a non-governmental organisation that focuses on making food more sustainable through livestock and crop farming initiatives, alongside their food bank system. Lagos Food Bank Initiative is committed to fighting hunger, reducing food waste, and solving the problem of malnutrition in Nigeria. Through their targeted programs, Dentsu X Nigeria donated food items and essentials to support communities in need during this period of economic hardship.
“In line with Dentsu International’s ‘Draw the Line’ campaign to end malaria, we donated Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) to help our local communities fight Malaria which accounts for approximately 11% of mortality in Nigeria, a staggering statistic, especially among pregnant women and children.” Reacting, Lagos Food Bank Initiative officials commended Dentsu X Nigeria for the show of love.
