The Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN) has unveiled its 10th year anniversary logo.

The event was held at a natural space to emphasize the power of nature as the starting point for every journey and to showcase the importance of creating lasting experiences.

The exclusive outdoor event which was held at the Dr. Abayomi Finnih Park in Lagos had in attendance founding members of the association, heads of agencies and other stakeholders in attendance.

In his opening remarks, the President of EXMAN, Mr. Tunji Adeyinka, highlighted the association’s journey over the past decade.

He further expressed his gratitude to the CEOs of EXMAN agencies for their continued support over the years.

He noted that the association has come a long way since its inception in 2013, with four successive executive committees led by Mr. Kayode Olagesin, Dr. Rotimi Olagesin, Mr. Kehinde Salami, and Mr. Tade Adekunle, who have all contributed immensely to building the EXMAN ethos of creating extraordinary experiences across Nigeria and Africa.

“Ten years ago, a group of people came together to start an association of professional companies in the experiential marketing practice in Nigeria. Today, that journey that started in 2013 is still moving on the right path,” said Mr. Adeyinka.

The President also announced the launch of the EXMAN Bank, an image bank that will allow all members to contribute to building a collection of extraordinary experiential marketing campaigns in the Nigerian market. He urged members to upload campaigns that have made an impact, even if the work is not from their agency, to celebrate the entire practice of experiential marketing. The gallery will be made available on mobile via an Augmented Reality mode to show how technology is impacting the industry.

In addition, he announced the upcoming launch of an Asset Exchange Service, which will allow members to lease and use technical equipment from other members. This service will help members to deliver with technical equipment that they do not own, and those who own the equipment to better utilize their assets on the balance sheet. Ultimately, he said, clients will benefit from quality services at a good price.

The President further highlighted the Gateway to Experiential Marketing platform which EXMAN developed in conjunction with Experientialng.com, to standardize the quality of learning available to brand promoters across agencies.

The unveiling of the anniversary logo is the first in the chain of activities lined up for the year-long anniversary celebrations. Highlighting the forthcoming events by the association, he added, “As we approach July, we have the Brand Experience Summit, the EXMAN Awards, and our AGM and elections all coming up.”

Also speaking at the unveiling former president of the association and MD/ CEO, of Ideas House, Kehinde Salami said the logo, which has 9 parts built at the venue of the event by some of the pioneer members of the association, was in line with association values and the collaborative spirit among members.

Owolabi Mustapha, General Secretary EXMAN, while speaking to what inspired the logo as well as the choice of colours, said: “The inspiration behind the logo is borne out of the fact that we create unique experiences for our clients and we decided to change the color we had from inception which are majorly three – orange, grey and white.

“If you look at the orange it represents strength, creativity, brightness in our people and the work that we do. The white means that we are very transparent in our dealings with our clients and we ensure flawless execution, while the grey colour connotes the fact that as an industry and a body, we will continue to collaborate and partner with people.”

As EXMAN approaches its AGM and elections in July, the President expressed his gratitude to all brands who have continued to believe in the efficacy of experiential marketing and to all suppliers and everyone who works in the value chain to enable them to deliver extraordinary experiences.
