The micro-blogging site, Twitter has announced some major feature additions to the platform.

Elon Musk, Twitter CEO disclosed this in a tweet on Wednesday morning.

He said Twitter will get video, audio calls, and encrypted chat features soon.

Musk said with the latest version of Twitter, users can reply to any message in a thread and the encrypted DMs V1.0 trial will commence on May 11, 2023.

He, however, explained that the voice and video chat features would not necessarily mean giving out users’ phone numbers.
