ACSPN To Hold 2023 Conference, AGM Sept. 6, 7

The Association of Communication Scholars & Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN) has concluded plans to hold its 10th Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) from Wednesday 6th to Thursday 7th of September, 2023 at the Press Centre, Radio House, Abuja.
Themed ‘Digital Communication Agenda and Nigeria’s Transformation’, among other things, the conference seeks to find ways in navigating ways Nigeria’s communication can integrate digital technologies to thrive in the competitive and fast-changing world.
The event will also look at the role of digital transformation, innovation, and the need of Nigeria to strategically pursue and position herself for future growth.
There will be a special panel discussion on ‘Big Data, Internet-of-things, and Digital Safety in Nigeria.
Distinguished Prof. Hopeton Dunn, professor of communications policy and digital media at the University of Botswana, who is a Former Secretary General of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) will lead other distinguished speakers at the conference.
He will be delivering the keynote on ‘The Rise of Generative AI: Opportunities Ethical Issues and Policy Challenges of Artificial Intelligence for Media and Academia in the Global South’.
