Toyin Henry-Ajayi Ascends New Role As Group Head, Group Marketing & Retail Analytics At Access Bank

Seasoned marketing communications professional, Toyin Henry-Ajayi, has been promoted to the position of Group Head, Group Marketing and Retail Analytics at Access Bank Plc, a prominent player in the financial sector.

In her newly assumed role, Toyin is saddled with the pivotal responsibility of crafting and executing data-driven marketing strategies that seamlessly align with the overarching corporate objectives, as well as harnessing the power of customer data and market insights to curate impactful marketing campaigns across diverse platforms for Access Bank, among other multifaceted responsibilities.

Prior her promotion, she served as the Head of Advertising for Access Bank where she played an instrumental role in conceptualizing, implementing, and overseeing the bank’s global advertising strategy, encompassing both commercial and technical perspectives.

With an impressive track record spanning over 16 years, Toyin boasts a wealth of cross-functional expertise, encompassing the formulation of growth strategies for retail businesses, adept management of corporate and product branding, orchestration of high-profile domestic and international events, and more.

She has previously held the position of Team Lead, Digital Communication within Access Bank. In this capacity, she meticulously managed aspects such as Social Media, E-mail Marketing, and SEO. Additionally, she remained at the helm of curating the bank’s web presence, routinely updating and enhancing its online platforms while pioneering innovative approaches to harnessing digital media.

Toyin’s journey with Access Bank commenced as a Product Development and Brand Communication Officer, a role that paved the way for her ascent to the position of Access Visa Card Product Brand Manager. In this capacity, she assumed the responsibility of positioning the Access VISA Brand within the targeted market segment. Upon successfully crafting the comprehensive marketing strategy for Access Bank’s Visa Card product, her professional trajectory was elevated to the position of Corporate and Product Advertising Officer/Media Manager.

This progression was subsequently followed by roles as Team Lead for Sponsorship and Event Management, Team Lead for Retail Strategy, Business Analytics, and Branding, as well as Team Lead for Personal and Business Bank Branding and Communications.

Toyin Henry-Ajayi holds a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the prestigious University of Ibadan, in addition to a qualifications in Digital Marketing in a Digital Economy from The Wharton School.
