Barbara Ezeife Joins Access Bank Plc As Head Of Marketing For African Subsidiaries
Marketing and communications professional, Barbara Ezeife has been appointed as the Head of Marketing for African Subsidiaries at Access Bank Plc, a leading financial institution.
In her new role, Barbara will provide strategic marketing counsel and direction to enhance the growth of the Bank’s retail and corporate businesses. She will also be responsible for establishing the strategy and policy direction for internal and external communications, including advertising, branding, and image management across Access Bank’s African subsidiaries, which include Angola, Botswana, DR Congo, Cameroon, Ghana, Guinea Conakry, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Zambia.
With over 15 years of experience in marketing within the financial services sector, her career has spanned various segments, including Banking, Fintech, Asset Management, Trusteeship, Pensions, Insurance, Stockbroking, Real Estate, Hospitality, Infrastructure Finance, and Private Equity. Her diverse expertise will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of Access Bank’s African subsidiaries.
Until her appointment, Barbara served as the Head of Marketing at FBNQuest Group, where she was responsible for translating the firm’s goals into marketing strategies aimed at strengthening the brand and driving sustainable growth.
She also served at Asset & Resource Management Holding Company (ARM) as Head of Marketing where she was responsible for leading brand adoption and marketing transformation initiatives, solidifying the Group’s brand presence in multiple markets.
Other places she has worked include Intravires Limited, Edinburgh as the Business Development and Royal Bank of Scotland Business as the Decision Support Analyst (Tesco Personal Finance).
One of Barbara’s standout achievements was spearheading ARM’s Pan-African brand awareness campaign, overseeing the successful launch of the Mixta Africa brand in the Nigerian market and reinforcing its position in other key markets such as Barcelona, Tunisia, Algeria, Senegal, Morocco, Mauritania, and Cote d’Ivoire.
Barbara holds a Bachelor of Arts Honors in Financial Services & Business Economics from Edinburgh Napier University and a Masters in Strategic Project Planning from Heriot-Watt University, both located in Scotland. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom, and the Digital Marketing Institute, Ireland.
Beyond her career achievements, she is a passionate advocate for the advancement of women in the workplace and has volunteered as a mentor for The Comms Avenue, a capacity-building and networking platform for communications professionals.
