Access Holdings, Dangote Group, CWAY Water, Others Win Big At ECOSEA 2023

Outstanding brands such as Access Holdings, Dangote Group, CWAY Water, and others have been recognized for their great impact in environmental sustainability at the just concluded 2023 Environmental Sustainability Conference, Expo, and Awards (ECOSEA).

The event which was themed: ‘Sustainable Collaboration & Nigeria’s Carbon Footprint” took place at Muson Centre, Onikan Lagos on Thursday, 14th December 2023. It was aimed at showcasing innovative and environmentally friendly products, services, and initiatives as well as being the most prestigious recognition platform for champions of environmental sustainability in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa while serving as a tool of inspiration to others.

While delivering his welcome address, the Convener of ECOSEA and Publisher of Impact Reports Africa, Mr Joshua Ajayi said, “We have seen corporate sustainability practices evolve from just corporate philanthropy handled by the communications teams into the core expertise built into the corporate vision with specific goals, indicators, activities and effective communication strategy, handled by a crack sustainability team.

“As corporate philanthropy transformed into corporate sustainability, the motivation changed from just giving back to integrating sustainability in the business model.

“Our goal in the near future for ECOSEA is to create an annual platform that would steadily become the largest foremost thought-leadership platform that champions the cause of environmentally sustainable actions in Africa.

“We also want to create an aspirational space people will gather annually to showcase innovative and environmentally friendly products, services, and initiatives. We equally want to be the most prestigious recognition platform for champions of environmental sustainability in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa while serving as a tool of inspiration to others”.

Access Holdings clinched the Award for the Most Outstanding Eco-Friendly Financial Services Group of the Year, while CWAY Water Dispenser got the Award for the Most Outstanding Eco-Friendly Water Brand of the Year, and the Award for the Most Outstanding Eco-friendly Manufacturing Group of the Year goes to Dangote Group, while Award for the Most Oustanding Eco-Friendly Energy Group of the year goes to Sahara Group and Award for the Most Outstanding Eco-friendly Cereal Brand of the Year was awarded to Nasco Cornflakes.

Top 20 companies were also recognized for their giant contribution to environmental sustainability, they include; Sahara Group, Access Bank, Rite Foods, Coca-Cola Nigeria, Friesland Campina, Arla Foods, Lafarge, International Breweries among others.
