CBN Appoints New Boards For Union, Keystone, Polaris Bank
Following the dissolution of the Board and management of Union Bank, Keystone Bank and Polaris Bank, the Central Bank of Nigeria has announced the appointment of new executives for the banks.
The dissolution became necessary due to the non-compliance of the banks and their respective boards.
According to CBN, the appointment of the new executives takes immediate effect.
Yetunde Oni and Mannir Ubali Ringim were appointed as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Union Bank respectively.
Hassan Imam and Chioma A. Mang were appointed Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Keystone Bank respectively.
Also, Lawal Mudathir Omokayode Akintola and Chris Onyeka Ofikilu were appointed Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Polaris Bank respectively.
In a statement signed by Sidi Ali Hakama, Ag. Director, Corporate Communications, the CBN assured the public of the safety and security of depositors’ funds, as the apex bank remains resolute in fulfilling its mandate to uphold a safe, sound, and robust financial system in Nigeria.
