World Out-Of-Home Organisation Holds Fourth Regional Forum In Cape Town

World Out-of-Home Organisation (WOO) has announced plans to hold its fourth Regional forum in Cape Town, South Africa.

The event is scheduled to take place on the 11th – 13th of March, 2023. The body is expecting more delegate at the Cape Town forum as its very first Regional Forum held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in October 2022 had just about 200 delegates.

According to the organisers, the forum will give delegates one and a half days of presentations on the Expanding World of Out of Home from Media Owners, Buyers, Tech Suppliers, and Clients.

The first day will focus on all aspects of driving sectoral growth in Out of Home including the Keynote Session from Lunga Ngcime Mooi – Director of Digital Marketing, Media and Commerce, Unilever, as well as a session on OOH Creativity from Jay Young, Managing Director of Grand Visual, Talon’s creative agency.

Some of the speakers for the first day include Dawn Rowlands, CEO of dentsu Afric; Greg Benatar, Managing Director of Alliance Media; Jorja Wilkins; Ocean Outdoor CEO, Tim Bleakley; WOO President Tom Goddard; Martin Sabbagh, CEO, Middle East & Africa, JCDecaux; and Jacques Du Preez, Founder and CEO of the Provantage Group.

Gideon Adey and an experienced panel of buyers and measurement practitioners will close the day looking at the challenges of developing OOH Audience Measurement across Africa.

The second day of the event of will focus on the Science of OOH and highlight the growing impact of data, automation and programmatic buying of OOH. The speakers for that day include Polygon’s Remi Du Preez, Sevita Savita Mbuli, MD, Growth Media and Siphosihle Mbuli from the BBOA plus Stacy Saggers, Commercial Growth Director at Kantar, Simon Wall of Tractor Outdoor, Nigel Clarkson of TapTap, and Donald Mokgale, Managing Director at Avatar Media Agency.
