Access Bank, NerdzFactory Foundation Reaffirm Commitment To Youths Empowerment

Access Bank in partnership with NerdzFactory Foundation celebrates the successful conclusion of DigiGap 4.0, a pioneering programme aimed at empowering Nigerian youth with essential digital skills.

Building on the success of previous editions, DigiGap 4.0 which took off April 14, 2024 reached an additional 500 young Nigerians, providing them with in-demand skills and tools to thrive in the digital age.

According to the organisers, initiatives like DigiGap are crucial in bridging the gap between job seekers and available opportunities in a country where unemployment rates stand at 33.3 percent and human capital potential remains largely untapped.

The organisers noted that over the course of four weeks, participants engaged in workshops, webinars, and hands-on projects, focusing on specialised tracks such as product design and digital marketing while honing their skills and gained valuable insights into the digital landscape through practical learning experiences.

The programme witnessed the creation of innovative apps by the participants, showcasing their newfound expertise and creativity. Managing Director of NerdzFactory Foundation, Ade Olowojoba, expressed joy in the programme’s impact, stating, “DigiGap 4.0 represents a significant milestone in our mission to empower Nigerian youth with the skills needed to succeed in the digital era. By investing in their knowledge and capabilities, we are shaping individual futures and driving progress for our nation.”
