Flour Mills, Airtel, Coca-Cola, Wema Bank Others Shine At Brandcom Awards 2024

October 26th marked a triumphant evening at the Landmark Event Centre as the 2024 Brandcom Awards ceremony celebrated deserving brands like Flour Mills of Nigeria, Airtel, Coca-Cola, Wema Bank, Unilever, Access Bank and a host of others, lauding their achievements and tireless efforts and resilience in the face of economic challenges.

The event is the celebration of the exploits and achievements of brands, agencies, and notable players that have gone the extra mile in making an impact in the industry. The award is also designed as the most credible and prestigious platform recognizing, rewarding and inspiring agencies, brands, and individuals in the marketing and communications industry in Nigeria.

The occasion attracted captains of industries, top government dignitaries, top industry players, business owners and the media.

At the event, Flour Mills of Nigeria was recognized as the Most Outstanding Food Conglomerate of the Year, the company’s brand, Golden Penny Noodles won Fastest Growing Noodles Brand of the Year, while Golden Penny Semovita emerged the Iconic Ball Food Brand of the Year among others.

Airtel Nigeria won Most Outstanding Telecom Company in Consumer Engagement and Most Outstanding Telecom Company of the Year (Data).

Wema Bank won the Award for SME Friendly Bank of the Year while ALAT by Wema won Iconic Digital Bank Brand of the Year.  Coca-Cola’s brand Schweppes Chapman emerged Chapman Brand of the Year while Sprite won Most Outstanding Lemon-lime CSD Brand in Consumer Engagement.

Unilever International won Most Outstanding Deodorant Brand in Consumer Engagement (Rexona) and Most Outstanding Brand Relaunch of the Year (AXE).

Access Bank won big at the awards as it went home with different awards including Most Outstanding Retail Bank Brand of the Year (Access Bank Nigeria); Award for Brand Leadership in Sustainability (Access Bank Nigeria); Most Outstanding Financial Service Group in Sustainability (Access Holdings Plc); among others.

Other top brands recognised and awarded include Interswitch, Aquafina, CWAY, Airtel Nigeria, Indomie Noodles, News Central, WAP TV, Checkers Custard, Coronation, Top Tea, Chivita, Pepsi, Addmie, Dano, Tecno, Tom Tom, GAC Motors, Nutri Milk, Gala Chin Chin,

Coca-Cola, Cadbury, Morning Fresh, 2sure, Onga, Gino, AXA Mansard, Dangote Cement, First Bank, Mega Growth, Interswitch, Sara by Wema, Standard Chartered, Stanbic IBTC and others.

The event also witnessed the induction of four icons in the marketing, media, and communications sectors including Lolu Akinwunmi, Group CEO of Prima Garnet Africa; Nkechi Ali-Balogun, Principal Consultant of NECCI Consulting; Remi Ogunpitan, Executive Consultant at IBST Media; and Tajudeen Adepetu, Group Managing Director/CEO of Group8 Limited into its prestigious Brandcom Award hall of fame for their outstanding contributions to the media and Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) industry in Nigeria and Africa at large.

Outstanding individuals such as Omoefe Ohworakpo, Israel Jaiye Opayemi, Emeka Okeke, Ilyas Kazeem, Adetoro Fowosere, Bolanle Osotule among others were also recognised for their excellent performance in the individual category of the awards.

Earlier in his welcome speech, the convener of Brand Awards and Publisher of Brand Communicator, Mr. Joshua Ajayi said “As we recognize tonight’s winners and inductees, let’s also look toward the future. The marketing industry is evolving rapidly, and the pace of technological change is only set to increase.
