Top Brands, FMCGs, Others Shine At Brandcom Awards 2025

It was a night of excellence, brilliance, celebration, and inspiration at the Brandcom Awards 2025, held at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, where leading brands, agencies, and industry icons gathered to honour outstanding achievements in marketing, communications, and brand building across diverse sectors.

Brandcom Awards is one of the most credible and prestigious platforms for recognising, rewarding, and inspiring agencies, brands, and individuals in the marketing and communications industry in Nigeria. This year’s award recognised outstanding individuals, brands, agencies, and organisations that consistently expand their frontiers, set new standards, and redefine what it means to build powerful and purpose-driven brands in today’s dynamic business environment.

In his welcome address, Mr. Joshua Ajayi, Convener of the Brandcom Awards and Publisher of Brand Communicator, said, “Today, we are celebrating excellence, creativity, and innovation in the marketing and communications industry. Tonight, we honour individuals, brands, agencies, and organisations that continue to consistently expand their coast, set new standards, and redefine what it means to build powerful brands in today’s dynamic world. This year’s recognition ceremony reflects the very best of Nigeria’s marketing and communication talents. Our esteemed panel of judges carefully reviewed every nominee, and tonight, we proudly celebrate those whose remarkable work has distinguished them as the best of the best.”

Commenting about the 35under35 award category, he said, “One of the highlights of this evening is the array of our Top 35 Under 35 Marketing & Communications Professionals, a recognition of young trailblazers shaping the future of marketing and Communications. It warms our hearts to note that since the inception of this category, many of our past honourees have gone on to occupy different leadership roles across the industry, both locally and internationally. 

“It is also remarkable to note that we have used this special platform to promote the registration of young practitioners with various industry professional bodies, as part of our requirements for recognition is registration with at least one relevant professional body in the country. This is the true essence of Brandcom Awards: to inspire growth, reward excellence, and spotlight emerging leaders.”

Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc emerged as the biggest winner of the evening, earning multiple recognitions across its diverse portfolio of brands:

Fastest Growing Noodles Brand of the Year (Golden Penny Noodles), Most Outstanding Pasta Brand in Consumer Engagement (Golden Penny Noodles), Most Outstanding Ballfood Brand in Consumer Engagement (Golden Penny Ball Food), Most Outstanding Brand Engagement Platform of the Year (Golden Penny Soup/Food Festival) and Fastest Growing Cereal Brand of the Year (Amaizing Day).

The recognitions highlighted Flour Mills of Nigeria’s continued leadership and innovation within the FMCG industry.

Beiersdorf Nigeria, makers of NIVEA, received two prestigious awards — Outstanding Personal Care Company of the Year and Outstanding Deodorant Brand of the Year for NIVEA Roll-On.

Dufil Prima Foods Plc was also honoured with multiple awards, including Most Outstanding Cooking Oil Brand of the Year and Most Outstanding Brand Execution of the Year for Power Oil. Its flagship brand, Indomie Noodles, clinched Most Outstanding Noodles Brand in Consumer Engagement and Most Innovative Noodles Brand of the Year for Indomie Relish.

CWAY Nigeria received four recognitions, including Most Innovative Beverage Brand of the Year for Assam Milk Tea, Iconic Water Bottling Company of the Year for CWAY Water, and additional honours for CWAY Refill Water.

In the dairy category, FrieslandCampina WAMCO shone with Iconic Dairy Brand of the Year for Peak, and Most Outstanding Dairy Brand in Community Engagement for Three Crowns.

Unilever Nigeria also stood out, winning Most Outstanding Oralcare Campaign of the Year for Close-Up’s “Closer is Better” campaign, and Most Outstanding Seasoning Brand of the Year for Maggi.

In the telecommunications sector, Airtel Nigeria received double honours as Most Outstanding Telecom Company in Consumer Engagement and Most Outstanding Telecom Company of the Year (Data).

Other brands that earned special recognitions for their innovation and brand performance include Tag deodorant, Carex, Aquafina, Morning Fresh, Pure bliss Gold, Airtel Nigeria, Three Crown, Mouka, Assam Milk Tea, Aer Power Pocket, Mega Growth, Bournvita, Lafarge Water Shield, Coca-Cola, Cowbell Coffee, Gala, Maltina, Schweppes, Lush Hair, Samsung and IHS Nigeria,

A major highlight of the night was the unveiling of the Top 35 Under 35 Marketing & Communications Professionals, spotlighting young innovators and future leaders shaping the next chapter of the industry.

The awards also celebrated visionary CEOs, including Mohammad Darwish, Stephen Onaivi, and Victoria Adewunmi, whose leadership has propelled their organisations to new heights.

Other outstanding individuals, such as Ilyas Kazeem, Seun Adaramola, Justin Essien, Omoefe Ohworakpo, and Fiyin Toyo, were honoured for their contributions to advancing marketing and communications excellence in Nigeria.

The Brandcom Awards 2025 once again reinforced its reputation as a platform that recognises and celebrates those who drive innovation, engagement, and impact across Nigeria’s marketing and communications ecosystem.

The event concluded with a renewed call for brands and professionals to continue pushing creative boundaries and building connections that inspire both consumers and communities.
