Brands Dazzle at EMWA Exhibitions As Experts Chart Course For Unlocking Nigeria’s Potential

The Landmark Event Centre, Lagos, yesterday, was a beehive of activity as premium brands in the manufacturing and allied industry were on display to a local and international audience at the Equipment Manufacturing West Africa Exhibition (EMWA)-Nigeria’s premiere trade show for the manufacturing, engineering, machinery and supporting industries-organized by Zenith Exhibitions

The well attended exhibition which is billed for three days has such brands as Deepee, Elgi, Brisco, Hafele, CTW Nigeria, Trust Energy, Peerless Pump and Homag on ‘display.’ Some others are Igos, Optibelt, Bauer, Actolog Solutions, Renner Kompressoren, Cahaya Agro, Integra among others.

The exhibition also featured a conference themed ‘Industrialisation & Innovation: Revitalisation of the Industrial Sector to unlock Nigeria’s potential.’ The conference included a multi-sectored session where knowledge was transferred, skills gained and solutions proffered by seasoned speakers and panelists who did justice to the theme in engaging sessions that have been described as both enlightening and eye-opening.

While welcoming participants, thanking sponsors of the event for their support and giving the rationale for organising the event, Joseph Oru, Managing Director, Zenith Exhibition, said that Nigeria has huge business potential for investors and trade exhibitions which would create access to market and networking business opportunities.

He added, “We have companies being represented from Germany, Italy, France, Nigeria, and Indonesia, ready to deliver the next generation of manufacturers build depths organisational processes and grow leadership,”He further explained that the Expo was also necessary to reconnect the industry following the challenges of COVID-19, adding that he was optimistic that the event would serve as a catalyst for discovery.

The Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Lagos State, Sam Egube was on ground to declare the exhibition and conference open. In his address, he described the Equipment & Manufacturing West Africa Exhibition (EMWA) as an opportunity for stakeholders to see new technologies and innovation.

Egube said that the programme made a good platform for exhibitors and people to interact and see new things that are coming into the manufacturing environment and innovation space. He said that the programme was a good development in the right direction as it would help businesses grow, adding that when businesses and people of Lagos flourish, the state also flourishes.

“Lagos is the enterprise centre of Nigeria and West Africa; it is also the gateway of Nigeria to the world and we control a very significant amount of movement and logistics in and around Nigeria. “That is why I am here to felicitate, share fellowship and friendship with this exhibition.

Equipment & Manufacturing West Africa brings together leading suppliers and manufacturers with a captive audience that has the express desire to source and secure productivity-enhancing solutions. The ongoing conference and exhibition is hosting over 50 physical exhibitors, over 100 virtual manufacturers and producers, more than 2,000 products, as well as 3,000+ physical and virtually, from different industry sectors including manufacturing, automotive, consumer goods manufacturing, electrical and electronics, energy food and beverage, and infrastructure and Facilities.
