ADVAN To Elect New Excos At 19th AGM

The Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) is set to elect new executive council members that will oversee the affairs of the association for the next two years at its 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The AGM holds on the 3rd of February, 2022 at the Marriot Hotel, Ikeja Lagos State.
According to Mr. Gerald Osugo, Chairman, ADVAN Electoral Committee all members of ADVAN are eligible to contest for the executive positions. “All offices on the Executive Council are now open for nominations,” he disclosed.
Positions on council include President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Publicity Secretary, Treasurer, and Ex-Officio/ Executive Council Member.
He added that the guest speaker for this year AGM is the CEO of World Federation of Advertisers, Mr. Stephan Loerke and he will speak on the theme: ‘Collaboration an integral success factor in 2022’.
“More details on the election process will be sent out subsequently,” said Mr. Osugo.
Recall, ADVAN on Wednesday the 13th November 2019 held her 18th AGM themed “Navigating the Nigeria Regulatory Landscape” at the Westwood Hotel, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos Nigeria.
The new executive council who emerged after a keenly contested election were: Bunmi Adeniba, Marketing Director, Coca-Cola Nigeria, 1st Vice President/Acting President; Bridget Oyefeso Odusami, (Head, Marketing and Communications, Stanbic) 2nd Vice President; Bukola Bankole, (Media Buying Manager Tolaram Group) Publicity Secretary; and Obum Okoli, (High End Planning & Execution Manager ABInBev) Treasurer.
Others are: Obum Okoli, (High End Planning & Execution Manager ABInBev) Treasurer; Gloria Nwabuike, (Marketing Manager-Nestle Water) Ex-Officio; Ehis Emokhare, (Head, Media and Digital, FrieslandCampinaWAMCO) Ex-Officio; and Ediri Ose-Ediale, Executive Secretary.

The association was founded in 1992 to advance the interest of the marketing industry in Nigeria by spearheading and ensuring global best practices as well as facilitating collaborative partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
