Adedipe, Ogunkoya, Omoyele, Agu, Others To Speak At APCON’s 2022 Economic Outlook Webinar

The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) has concluded plans to hold a thought leadership session on Nigeria’s economic outlook scheduled on 4th February 2022.
The webinar which is with the theme; “Nigeria’s Economic Outlook: The Implication of National Budget for the marketing Communications Industry” would be held virtually via Zoom.
Billed to speak at the event as key note speaker is Dr. Biodun Adedipe, Chief Consultant, B. Adedipe Associates Ltd. Meanwhile, the lineup of panelists are: Tolu Ogunkoya, Regional CEO, West & Central Africa Omnicom Media Group; Lampe Omoyele, MD, Nitro 121; Emmanuel Agu, GMD, Jotna Nigeria (The LaCasera Company) and Ms. Eyitemi Taire, Marketing Consultant, Gemini Place as Moderator.
It is worthy of note that APCON has been very vibrant since the year began, organizing an epoch-making event to induct 63 long serving practitioners as Fellows of the advertising profession. At the event the Registrar/Chief Executive of APCON, Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo and other stakeholders emphasized on the need for more training and retraining including mentorship and revealed how the council is helping to regulate and grow the advertising landscape.
In another vein, the council has equally been organizing different event to empower members in a bid to uplift the standard of advertising profession in the country.
Basically, the mandate of APCON as provided in the Act No. 55 of 1988 as revised by Act No. 93 of 1992 include: Determining who is an advertising practitioner, determining the standard of knowledge and skill required to be attained by persons seeking to become registered members of the advertising profession and reviewing those standards from time to time.
Other roles include conducting relevant professional examinations, regulating and controlling the practice of advertising in all its ramifications and performing the functions conferred on the Council by Law.
