Osamede Uwubanmwen Takes Over From Bunmi Adeniba As ADVAN President
Commercial Director for Biogenerics Nigeria Limited, Osamede Uwubanmwen has emerged the new President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria, ADVAN, taking over from the Marketing Director for Coca-Cola, Bunmi Adeniba who has served in that position for about two years.
Uwubanmwen emerged President at the Annual General Meeting, AGM, of the association that was held today, 3rd February 2022, after an election by ADVAN members. He is expected to take charge and pilot the affairs of the body within the two years of his tenure, alongside nine other executives of the association.
Osamede Uwubanmwen is a marketing and media communication, as well as a financial services professional with over 21 years (12 years in a senior role) track record in providing cutting-edge result-oriented solutions in brand marketing and media communication, FMCG sales, financial management, and banking operations.
Osamede is a member of international and local professional bodies including; EX-executive board member, Advertisers Association of Nigeria Advertiser (ADVAN); member, Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professional Organization U.S.A (SCIP); member, Advertising Practitioner Council of Nigeria (APCON); member Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing UK IDM; member, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN). His work experience gained prior to Biogenerics Nigeria Limited was Stanbic IBTC, as head marketing and communications Corporate and Investment Banking, brand manager Guinness Nigeria Plc. as well as retail sale development manager Guinness Nigeria.
Over the course of his career, Osamede’s ability in Storytelling, Strategic Communication, Financial Analysis, Project Evaluation, Brand marketing, Media communication, Consumer insight generation, Customer segmentation, FMCG customer marketing and retail strategy, Market and Competitive Intelligence, Product Innovation, Product launch and Portfolio Management, Pricing and Negotiation Strategy, Customer Retention Strategy, B2B and B2C Marketing Strategy, Profitability Analysis, Value Add Evaluation analysis, PR and Media Management, has never been in doubt.
His qualifications include MBA in International Business from the Paris Graduate School of Management; ACE, Executive Program Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); Strategic Marketing Management from Harvard Business School, Boston U.S.A; B.Sc. Accounting (second class upper) from the University of Benin; other professional certifications include PMP (PRINCE 2), Master of AI BASICS from International Business Machine (IBM),Basic French language from Alliance Francaise Lagos, Nigeria.
