Oti Ukubeyinje Pitches Tent With Diageo As Consumer Data Lead For Africa
Marketing Professional, Oti Ukubeyinje has joined Diageo, one of the world’s largest producers of spirits and beers as Consumer Data Lead for Africa.
Ukubeyinje who joined Diageo after a brief stint at Meta where he worked as a Solutions Manager will, in his new position, be responsible for working with global and in-market teams to build and deliver Data-driven experiences for Diageo’s customers and consumers across Africa.
Taking to his LinkedIn page to make the announcement, he wrote, “…during my little disappearing act, I wrapped up an incredible chapter at Meta in August, filled with unforgettable experiences…fast forward to September, and I found my way back to the enchanting realm of data-driven marketing, joining Diageo as the Consumer Data Lead for Africa.”
With over 12 years of experience in the marketing industry, Oti is passionate about developing and executing digitally-led marketing initiatives that drive growth and profitability for B2B and B2C brands in emerging markets.
He has held diverse roles across leadership, management, and operations, working across MarTech, AdTech, publishing, and agency sides of the industry. Oti has successfully managed large-budget digital campaigns in the UK and Nigeria, built and launched two MarTech SaaS products in Africa, and rolled out a robust reseller program in Nigeria and Ghana.
In his career journey, Ukubeyinje has worked at Terragon Group where he joined as Vice President, Product Marketing and Growth and then elevated to the position of Senior Vice President, Products and was responsible for leading the product team at Terragon to be more customer centric and growth focused, while enabling strong product marketing capabilities with the marketing team.
He actually commenced his career with Net-A-Porter as a Query Administrator where he was charged with the responsibility of providing technical and administrative support to a distribution team of over 40 staffs. He then moved to Kontera where he was responsible for effective delivery of display and In-text advertising campaigns during the London 2012 Olympics which entailed managing and optimizing a network of over 15,000 publishers including Reuters and Johnston Press.
Other places he has worked include Bauer Media, Stardoll, Talking Drum Media, Integral Ad Science, Sponge Ltd, and Opera.
Oti holds a Master’s Degree in Electronic Business Management from the University of Kent as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Delta State University, Nigeria. He also has a certificate in Digital Marketing, Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Squared Online, among other certifications.
